I opened a file on my PC from the floppy drive, and now i
lost that floppy. I never saved it on the PC....stupid
me. Is there anyway i can get that info. Is it like
stored somewhere to view.

I use windows XP Pro and word XP.

Thanks,

Hi Mikey,

Sorry, no, that file is gone if the floppy is gone.

This does raise another point you should be aware of. It's
risky to save a Word file directly to, or open it directly
from, a floppy disk. It's one of the quickest routes to
corrupting the document. The safe method is to copy it to
and from your PC's hard disk in the Explorer window, then
open it there. If you want to edit it, open that copy --
the file on your hard disk -- save and close, and *then*
(again from the Explorer window) copy it back to the floppy.

This is what we advise for files on floppies regardless;
but the extra advantage in your case would be that you'd
still have the file.

IF you lost the file and the floppy I cannot give you the correct info or
you will lose that also.
