lost documents - HELP!!!!

My mother in law emailed me a resume she made for me. I opened it to edit it,
saved it and now i can not find it in my computer. What am I doing wrong and
why can I not find it.

If you edited it after opening it directly from an attachment, it was saved
in a Temp folder. You may be able to recover it; see
http://www.gmayor.com/outlook_attachments.htm

In the future, however, either save the document instead of opening it or
immediately use Save As to save to a document folder.
