Lost drawing guides

I am unable to see the drawing guides on my screen... currently I have the
box "display drawing guides on screen" checked, but I can't find the guides
anywhere.

Only some presentations are this way.. others have drawing guides that are
easy to see and move.

Any ideas?

Ad a new slide (let's say slide #2) then go back to slide #1

They may have gotten dragged to the edge of the slide where you can't see
them easily. If you hover your mouse off the edge of the slide, on the
workspace, can you grab the guides there?
