lost e-mails, rec. could not view, how to retrieve

over the weekend, when receiving e-mails, it showed rec. 26 of 26, all
processed but did not enter to my in box, I checked with my server, there was
nothing there blocking them, I went back and restored my computer from the
past week, but still cannot locate the e-mails. Are they lost or can I
retrieve them?
