Lost e-mails

I was receiving an error message on my send and receive end for outlook 2003-
couldn't get any new emails or send any emails. I was directed to use the
inbox repair tool, which i didn't find in my systems (under accessories) i
tried to reboot the system to an earlier date but the computer wouldn't let
me. then i made the mistake of hitting the default button which caused me to
lose my microsoft outlook 2003.-
Now whenever i hit microsoft outlook 2003- it takes me to the beginning
like where i'm supposed to open a new account and go through all the steps
to start a new Micro. Outl. 2003 all over again and i can't retrieve the site
i had before-

Did I really lose all of my e-mails or is there a way to retrieve them all????

Which default button are you talking about where?

It sounds like you created a new mail profile. Once you have configured it
with your mail account, you can reconnect your original message store via;
File-> Open-> Outlook Data File...

The Inbox Repair Tool is at Start>Programs>Microsoft Office Tools>Inbox Repair
Tool or Start>Programs>Microsoft Office>Microsoft Office Tools>Inbox Repair
Tool or it's the file scanpst.exe available in
%CommonProgramFiles%\System\MSMAPI\1033 for English versions.

Use the Mail applet in Control Panel to see if you created a new mail profile
and if the old one is still there. If the old one still exists, delete the
new one and use the old.
