I backed up my hard drive last night to a Seagate drive. Today, when I opened Entourage, it comes up as if it is the first time I've used. I can see my Database file is in the correct place and it is 24MB, so that size seems reasonable. I've tried rebuilding it and checking for corruption, but nothing seems to work. Does anyone have any ideas what I can do to recover my data?

24 MB sounds like an empty Entourage DB. When (or after) you backed up, did
you delete the Microsoft User Data folder (MUD) in your home directory or
the Entourage 2008 Identities folder inside the MUD folder or your
particular identity inside the E 2008 Identities folder? If so, put it back
where it belongs.

Examples of a blank database
2004 --> 18.1 KB
2008 --> 22.6 MB

Sounds like you deleted the database after copying.
