I attempted to drag a duplicate/alias of a "sent" email into an "inbox" subfile and Entourage ate it. Where is it and how to I find it?

If you can remember something about the message (partial contents, sender,
subject, etc., you should be able to find it by using either the Find or
Advanced Find command, both on the Edit menu.

Your description of 'duplicate/alias' is strange. Have you done this
successfully in the past?

Generally when moving a folder from an Exchange account where the messages
are stored on the server to your computer will copy the contents. I don't
have an Exchange account myself, so I'm not sure if you copy the folder or
select all the contents of a folder and use the "Copy to" icon to move the
messages.
