lost entourage

While trying to update office 2004, an interuption occurred and it seems that I have now lost Entourage and Excel. The icons are gone from the apps office 2004 folder and are present with a question mark on the dock. I cannot open from the dock. Is there a way of getting these back without losing contacts, etc?

There is no reason for the personal data (contacts etc) to be affected.
The installations/updates... leaves them untouched.

You shoudl properly uninstall Office (using the uninstaller - which
doesn't touch your data) and reinstall then update everything again,
