Lost everything

Version: Older version Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) Email Client: pop I am a novice. I shouldn't have given in to temptation (when I received the email from the Microsoft MAC Team) and agreed to a 60 day free trial of ENTOURAGE X as don't know where to go from here.

I thought I was getting a long awaited version of Entourage, but then saw, as it was downloading, it was going to take 24 hours! I finally managed to stop the downloading by trashing every sign of it - so now have NOTHING.

Have a lost my original ENTOURAGE forever, with all its 'saved as draft' containing important data: serial numbers, passwords, etc

What can I do?

Hi,

I don't really understand; you cancelled the download, so this should not
have affected your original installation. Which version of Entourage were
you using before you decided to download the trial? And which files did you
trash?

All your Entourage data is stored in ~/Documents/Microsoft User Data, so if
you did not touch that folder (or if you have a backup copy of that folder),
nothing is lost. You will only need to have a functioning copy of Entourage
to access the database.

Uh, a 60-day free trial of Entourage X?
Entourage X is ancient history in Microsoft product
terms. It¹s a product that was released eight years ago.
I would be very surprised if Microsoft or anyone was still
offering Entourage X on a trial basis. The latest version is 2008.

Are you sure that the mail you received was genuine?
