Lost Files

N

Neal Zimm

I think I am 'cooked'.
With microsoft's help, I re-installed XP-home on a larger "D" hard drive a
while ago.
Am just getting around to trying to move my 'old' Outlook files to D from
the C drive.

Have used explorer to search my C drive for any *.pab and *.pst files and
have found NONE.

NONE on my backup files as well.

Do I have any other options?, if yes, what are they?
Thanks.

..PST files typically end up in hidden folders in Windows XP, so make sure you
are searching within hidden folders. Also, unless you're using a REALLY old
version of Outlook, you probably don't need (and haven't been using) a .PAB
file.

Look here for all the information you need on backup and restoration of
Outlook data: http://www.slipstick.com/config/backup.htm
