lost folder

Hello I foolishly deleted My Pictures folder and its subfolders from windows
live foto gallery and found it is not in my c: drive.Can anyone tell me how
to recover it.

Which OS?
Did you check the Recycling Bin?

Be careful not to write to the disk. This will dramatically reduce the
possibility to recover Windows re-uses the empty space)
