Lost icons near the clock on the taskbar.

Sometimes when I reboot my computer I lose some of my icons near the clock on
the taskbar. The programs are running but the icons are not there. What
could be causing this problem?

I'd suggest asking this question in a Windows newsgroup. That's where
the experts on this topic hang out.
