This seems to be a recurrent theme, but I couldn't find a solution in
previous topics. I had just created several folders as subfolders of
my "travel" folder in the Inbox. When I brought up Entourage, these
new folders are gone. I tried rebuilding the data base by using the
option button to re-open Entourage. Nothing happened. I went to the
MUD folder and found nothing. As was the case when I searched the
other mail box folders and I even checked Trash. I did a search in
Entourage and found a few of the Emails, but not all of them. If I
click on "Message" on the Entourage toolbar and then click on "Move To"
I see the list of all my folders, including the missing folders. It
has the folder name then (on my computer) in parenthesis next to it.
But these folders are not listed in the window on the left of "folders
on my computer." I opened an Email, click on Message on tool bar,
clicked on Move To, clicked on one of the missing folders and the Email
was moved. I presumed moved to that folder, but it is gone from my
sight. Where did it go? How do I find it? How do I move these folders
back to the window of "Folders on my Computer" so I can open them.
Please give any answer slowly (in detail) as I am not very computer
savvy.
I have another underlying problem that may have contributed to losing
my folders. There is one very old Email in my Inbox. I have never
been able to open it. I try to avoid it because if I come upon it, I
get stuck there. Everything freezes and I have to restart my coputer
to go on. This has happened numerous times without any adverse
consequences until this time. I'm not sure if I lost the folders upon
the re-boot because I wasn't looking for them at that point and didn't
notice. The ultimate question, is how do I get rid of this one Email?
Thank you for your help,
Susan
