Lost link to "send to" drive D (CD) for saving info

Somehow the link to "send to" has disappeared from the
send to area for saving documents. It is no longer
available when I try to save information directly to the
CD drive.
Have no clue what happened and Dell tech support has been
unable to help.
It says the shortcut or target is not available. Any
help would be greatly appreciated. I am totally at a
loss here.
Do not want to use system restore because it would lose
so much information that is necessary at this time on the
computer itself. Thanks in advance

1. Don't save Word documents directly to a CD or floppy drive. Save to a HDD
and then copy to the external source. You'll save yourself a lot of grief
that way.
2. The "Send-to" functionality is in Windows, not Office.
