lost logon password

My current pc is running in windows xp. I have another
computer in my home on a network with this one running on
windows 2000. Because I have not used the old machine in
a while I have forgotten the administrator logon
password. Is there any way to reset it on that machine?
Can I somehow view it from my main machine through the
network?
