Lost Menu

I schecked something off somewhere because now I can't get my Menus back,
even when holding the shift key.
I have the toolbar but I should have the File, Edit, Tools, etc. Even when
I start a new database it's not there!

In A2003, choose Options >> Startup
Is Menu bar set to default?

Yes it is set to default.

Try this:
click customise on the toolbar,
in the dialog that opens select the menu or toolbar with the problem and
choose Reset
you could also check in the properties for that menu bar
