LOST MENU'S

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel

I've lost the menu's (werkbalken in Dutch) at the top of the screen in powerpoint 2008. It's as if the application is in presention mode. Click on the differrent menu's in View doesn't help, neither does trying customizing or resetting the menu's. Tried reinstalling the whole of Office 2008 but the problem's still there. The menu's were ok until about 2 weeks ago. Don't recollect if there was an incident that may have influenced the application.

All help is welcome

Perhaps you're referring to the Standard toolbar -
that toolbar that includes icons such as New,
Open, Save, Print, the zoom factor, and so on?
Try clicking on the lozenge-shaped button
at the top right of the active presentation window
(in Normal or Slide Sorter mode). Your Standard
toolbar should show up again, if it was hidden.

If the Standard toolbar (or ANY toolbar, for that
matter) still doesn't show up, go to the View -
Toolbars menu and make sure that the relevant
toolbar is checked.

Hope this is what you're looking for - this confused
me once before too.

Jeff
