Steps to Repro:
1. Select a group of messages from your Deleted Items
2. Right-click and say Move to Folder
3. Create a New folder that's a subfolder of your Deleted Items, and choose
that as the destination
Result 1:
The messages you selected will be placed into a new email as an attachment.
If you have too many (I had 160), you'll be prompted about the fact that it
could take a while to do this operation. I hit "Yes" to proceed.
4. Hit ESC to cancel sending a message (I wasn't trying to send, I was
trying to move them to a subfolder)
Result 2:
The folder I specified got created, but it's empty.
The messages are purged from Deleted Items.
By not saving changes to the message it had created with the attachments, it
appears those items are permanently gone.
Notes:
I've tried twice since losing the messages, and unfortunately this is not
reproducing itself for me.
However, it's worth noting that I'm on a laptop and am doing everything via
keyboard. I suspect that I might've accidentally hit Enter twice to clear
the Move dialog, which might explain Result 1, at least.
My deleted items were sorted by "From", and the group of messages I was
moving were all things I'd sent.
