Last week, I moved my tiered and organized Inbox folders for the month of
November into my Personal Folder, as I do at the end of every month. I
watched as the task bar indicated that the folder had been moved, and saw the
November folder appear in my tiered Personal Folder. I was at the same time,
uninstalling a program which prompted me to restart my laptop. Once I saw
that the November folder had been moved, I restarted my laptop. This wouldn't
work because Outlook was still running so, via the Window's Task Manager I
Ended the OUTLOOK.EXE process and restarted my laptop.
When I launched Outlook following the restart, an error message popped up
indicating that there may have been/was an error moving my folder over. Now,
my folder, with the entire contents of my emails from November, are gone. I
checked to see if it had been dropped in another folder by mistake, deleted,
moved back to my inbox - nothing. I have run the Inbox Repair Tool and it
found six errors which it fixed, but none of my emails have been restored.
The services department at my office tried to search for even one of my
emails to no avail. They now suggest that possibly the only way to find this
folder is to restore the entire company's database - something they are not
willing to do.
Does anyone know of any other ways I might be able to find these files?
Thanks so much!
