Lost Network Connection

Hi
I am using a laptop at home to make a medical records
database for my work. I use a combo box to retreive a
record in my current form. Whenever I scroll through the
name I want or type it in the box I get the following
message. "Unable to retrieve file. Lost network
connection. I am not on a network but a stand alone
laptop. This happens also when using the wizards 'event
procedure' to Go To button and other event procedures
when using toolbox wizard. I have repaired & compacted,
to no avail. I also repaired and reloaded from CD, still
no good. Getting desperate. Any ideas? I know nothing at
all about SQL and only use toolbox wizards. Debugger
screen is blank after error message so cannot see what
problem is.

System MSAccess 2000 Professional. Windows XP Home
Edition.

Hi Barry

Look at this link;

You'll need to download and apply the latest service release patches first
and then, probably, need to create a new, blank, DB and import the objects
from your corrupt DB except the form that's giving the problem. This will
probably need to be re-created
