Lost New Document Template shortcut from Start Up

I have just installed Office 2003 and noticed that I have
lost the shortcut to new document templates from the top
of the start up menu. I have short term set up the folder
with my own templates on the start up menu, but long term
I would like the old new document short cut back.

Anyone any ideas ?

Hi, Gary,

If you've just installed Office, can I assume that you haven't made any
customizations that you want to keep? If so, find and delete Normal.dot (see
http://www.mvps.org/word/FAQs/AppErrors/BlankDocNotBlank.htm for
instructions) and restart Word.

Otherwise, you can repair just the menu. open the Tools > Customize dialog.
Select "File" in the Categories list and "New..." in the Commands list, and
drag it to the menu.
