Lost Notes

I recently opened my OneNote and none of my files were there. Luckily, I have
them all backed up in a different location, but I am having a difficult time
opening the backup files. The formatting is completely off, as in I am having
to search through all of the folders just to find a days notes. Any idea what
could have caused this? I have not installed SP2 recently, and I have been
using OneNote for a year and a half with no problems. If anyone has any
suggestions about how to correct this loss, what happened or how to prevent
such things from happening again, please let me know. Thanks!

Hmm....that is, thankfully, an unusual problem. What kind of machine is it
