Version: 2004 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.3 (Panther) I had a file called old emails where I had about a year's worth of emails stored and now they've disappeared. Is there an archive file that automatically takes them, and if so, where do I go to retreive them?

Nope. Anything that disappears by itself is not a good sign.
Launch Entourage pressing the Option key down to attempt to rebuild
your database.
