Lost permissions.

Office 97 uninstalled. Office 2000 would not load(locked
up). Reinstalled Office 97. Went to defaul on work group.
I didnt have a chance to redo work group file and
readminister users and groups. The computer was upgraded
to Office XP. I can rebuild with 97 but can I re-gain my
permissions any other way? I did re-build work group in
Office XP. However the permissions were not forwarded to
XP prior to instalation. This was done by another IT
person that didnt realise what would take place.
