lost product key code

I received a MS OFfice cd when I bought my computer. About
5 years ago. I recently had to wipe out everything on my
computer and when I went to reinstall MS Office 2000 the
original slip cover was gone and so I no longer have the
product key to start the program. I am sure that I
registered the product with Ms will they be able to look
up the key and give it to me?

I do not think Microsoft will be able to help, with the millions of Office
sold worldwide.

However, it all depends on how did you" wipe out everything", which in
reality is not quite true. Paedophiles have wiped out everything from their
computers and yet Police find the evidence.

There are ways and means of finding the Office ID on your computer. I would
talk to a good professional about it.
