lost registration number

I have office 2000 and bought a new computer, however, I can't find the
registration number. How can I successfully load the program? I believe that
there is a time line where the program will cease to function w/o a
registration number? If this sounds stupid I am quite computer illiterate.
Thanks beebs

If you are talking about the product ID number, you will not be able to
install Office without it. Also, if that version of Office came
pre-installed on your old computer, you *cannot* install it on a new one.
And since Microsoft no longer supports Office 2003, it may be time to
purchase Office 2003.

You're right - I type poorly. MS no longer supports Office 2000.

(Thank you for catching that and shame on me!)

Have you been on the jungle juice again...? ;o)

1) The product ID is *NOT* the installation key. The PID is what is generated
once the application is installed and is used to access TS. So, to say one
cannot install Office without the PID is completely erroneous, since one has
to have Office installed in order for the PID to be generated.

2) "And since MS no longer supports Office 2003, it may be time to purchase
Office 2003..." Say wha...?!

I bought an Emachine with Office 2007 preinstalled i.e., no CDs. I
registered it and the computer has since died.
How do I get Office 2007on my new laptop? I can't seem to find anything
about the registration.
