Lost scroll button

Lost right side scroll button in word 2000.
I don't know if it is mechanical or if the kids did something to the
program.

Also i have another computer with word 2000 installed the kids reprogrammed
it to a different format on start up, which no one likes.
How can we have it start up with the original/normal settings page
Do we have to reload it rather then hunt down the format changes and undo.

Tools>Options>View. In the "Show" category, check "Vertical scroll bar."
