I lost all my sounds in windows after I installed Office XP.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, sea,

Do you mean that there is no sound happening, or the sound files have been
deleted?

Have you checked the Windows Control Panel Sounds applet to see if your
settings have been changed?

Susan,
I have no sound coming from any of my programs.
Yes control panel has them and when you test them from control panel they
all work.

Susan,
With that I have some sound now,
But I still can not get my Windows XP default sounds to work.
Any other Ideas?

Thanks Steve

No...not if they're working in the Control Panel, and if the new Office
sounds work over your speakers. I've seen other people post this that it
might be related to the speech engine that comes with Office XP, so you
could try disabling that, if you're not going to use the speech input.

Also, you might try posting to a Windows newsgroup to see if anyone there
has any ideas... or you could try Kelly Theriot's page, which has some fixes
for sound problems.
