lost status bar in Word

In Word doc I have done View/Normal/tools/options/view- Status box is
checked. Cleared wrap to window & draft font check boxes - General &
background repagination. Still nothing. Feel like I've lost my watch.

Is your Word window Normal (restored) or Maximized? If the former, perhaps
you've just pushed it down to where the status bar is below the edge of the
screen?
