Lost subfolders and can't find them....disappeared

Lost subfolders and can't find them



Hey all.



We are running the following:



Exchange 5.5 on Server

Windows 2000 on Clients

Office 2000

Outlook 2000



I created a custom folder and sub folders under the "outlook today " folder
, these folders looked as follows:





Houses

Buyers

New buyer

Old buyer

Sellers







The problem is I just noticed that all subfolders...buyers, seller, new
buyers, old buyers, are all gone.



I did not accidentally delete them. Does outlook do this?

Is there a place they might still be stored?

Hi - nothing should automatically be deleting these folders....are you sure
a PST file wasn't involved at some point, perhaps? Do you have deleted item
retention enabled on your private mail store, and if so, are you able to see
the contents of the folders in Recover Deleted Items?

I am the tech and ceo It has been a while since I have had any issues. but
here goes

1. there are no pst's involved

2 runing exchange 5.5 ....do I have the deleted item retention ability
beyiond not clearing out my "deleted items" folder?

Deleted Item Retention is something you would have to have previously set on
the private information store.....check the properties of same in Exchange
Administrator - I think it's the limits tab...
