Lost the content in Personal Folder *pst file

Recently, due to my PC's harddisk was crashed. I decided
to re-format it. Before that I had backup all my
personal files including the Outlook Personal Folder
*.pst file. This *.pst file contains 'Sent Item mails'
and 'Inbox mails'. I copied the whole *.pst file in the
safe place.

After I finished the re-installation of Windows and
Office2000. I places back the *.pst file into the
Outlook and configured the setting. But when I opened
the Personal folder I can't see my 'Sent Item files'.
They all lost. I only can see the 'Inbox mails'
but 'Sent' Item mails' are total lost.

These 'Sent Item mails' are important to me. Does anyone
can help me?

Thanks & regards,
Kenny Wong

How did you "place" the PST file in Outlook? It is not a good idea to
overwrite PST files.
You should have just opened it to get your information, or if you wanted to
replace your current PST, you could have configured Outlook expressly to use
another PST file.
