lost the "Design, Split, Code, Preview" buttons in the "Page View"

I need to get hose buttons back!. I have closed nad reopen FP03. Everything
looks fine unti I open the page. Then a little pencil appears over the icon
in the file and displays the existing page in code without the "design,
split, code and preview" buttons. I need to get those buttons or toolbar back
in the page view. If I create a new page the bar is there. Don't want to have
to star over. Any help is appreciatete2

What is the name of the page? Some pages, such as CSS files, can only be
displayed as code and design, split and preview buttons are irrelevant.
Also, if the code in the page is very badly written then FrontPage may be
unable to render the page, and protects the code by not attempting to do
so.

Open Tools->Options - Configure Editors tab
Check the page extension that it is not set to open as text only - csv
will be set to open as text, htm should be Open as HTML
