lost the installation key

I have lost the installation key (the 25 or so alpha
numberic symbols) needed to install office to a new
computer. I have office stored on an old computer. Is
there anyway to retrieve this installation key?

If it is an OEM copy, then you don't have the right to transfer it. If it is
a retail one, see http://www.microsoft.com/usa or
http://www.microsoft.com/worldwide for phone numbers.

There should be an 800 number in the prompt to call for

help. I've called it before in your situation and
they've generally been more than happy to provide me with
a new key.
