Lots of problems migration to Word 2003

Here at the office the decision was taken to migrate to from Office 2000 to
2003. Since I'm the only one writing VBA stuff I was asked to check if any
issues occured when migrarating.

I encounter a lot of problems though.
- I simply can't open the VBA environment (ALT-F11) on a fresh installed
Office 2003. The mousecursor just turns into a sandglass forever.
- On 1 machine I was able to fix it, but I don't know what exactly caused
the fix. On this machine I constantly get the error that the environment for
macros could not be opened.

I'm totally stuck on this and I'm under quite a lot of timepressure, any
help would be very welcome.

No such problems here. Try renaming the Normal.Dot template and then
re-start Word.

Dear Doug,

I deleted every normal.dot I could find on the machine but still the problem
exists. I can't enter the VBA environment.
The machine is running Win2K & Office2K3 both fully patched.
