I am responsible for numerous tickets purchased by friends. The effort is
to create a sheet where I will put in their numbers, and then when the
lottery is drawn, put in the winning numbers and instantly see how many
match. For instance, if the first number on the winning row is 20, I would
like to see quickly how many had 20 no matter what row their's was in. etc.
etc.
This would make it much easier to locate those who have won prizes other
than the total amount. I have been trying to use the LOOKUP formula
matching their numbers with the top column, but when there is no match I get
a /ref error which clutters up the sheet. Is there a better formula to use
to get a quick clean match between a specific ticket number and any number
in the first row?
