Lotus Notes Calendar appointment sent to Outlook, can not respond

we are running Exchange 2003 with Outlook 2007, when one of our
vendors sends a meeting request from Lotus Notes, I can open the
meeting in Outlook, but the "Respond" box is empty. Any ideas why this
is happening? If I open the email in OWA , I can respond to the
meeting.
