Lotus Notes connector -- lost progress message

Using Outlook 2003 with the Lotus notes connector.
There used to be a message in the bottom left indicating which folder
it was synchronizing and how far it had progressed, but for some reason
this message is gone now.
I cannot find out how to get it back. Any hints?

Forgot to mention: the status bar is still there.

In my outlook i have the option to right click in a menu area and their is a
toolbar registered as

In my outlook there is a toolbar named "Mailbox Status". If you right
click in an area where there are toolbars (top of the screen) you should see
an option for this toolbar. Once its back you can drag it to the bottom of
the screen.
