Lotus to Excel

I had a column of info in a lotus file which I could
change by / r v (n...N) That is:
"/" brought up the menu
"R" was the range command from the menu
"V" was the value command
(n..n)gave the cell numbers i.e. (H8..H40)to copy from

after entering the above and hitting 'return" the data
would move. I can not do the equivalent in Excel. If
I "copy" and "paste," the pasted data carries the baggage
of additional reference cells. In Lotis it produces a pure
number.

Help will be greatly appreciated

David,

Select and copy your column of info

Then, I think you want Edit | Paste Special ... values only.

Hope that helps.

Kevin

Edit > Paste Special . . . Values

then

Edit > Paste Special . . . Formats

for an exact work-alike.
