I have a persistent and pervasive "low memory" problem running PowerPoint
8.0 for Mac (part of Office 98 suite). It's been a problem since I first
started using PowerPoint a couple years ago. Recently I started using
PowerPoint much more so its gone from being a minor nuisance to a major
headache.
I've tried increasing the memory allocation and restarting with extensions
disabled without notable success. Among the messages I've received:
"Sorry, memory is full. PowerPoint must quit immediately."
"Memory is too low to continue. The current presentation will now be
closed."
I'm running a G4 PowerPC (400 MHz) and OS 9.1. The same problem has occured
on my laptop (PowerBook G4)
Thanks,
