LVREG.DLL Error in Word 2000

I recently upgraded my pc's memory and since the upgrade
I have been receiving the following error when I use Word
2000. (WINWORD executed an invalid instruction in module
LVREG.DLL at 017f:32b1681a.

How can I fix this so word does not crash everytime I
enter the program?

It could be bad memory, or you could try installing service packs to see if
that file is affected.
