MAC 2004 Powerpoint Compatibility w/ PC 2003 Powerpoint

Help!!! I cannot open my PC PPT files (2003) on my Mac (2004). I can,
however, open my Mac PPT files on my PC. Any ideas??

Similar problem to mine (in another thread here). Lost compatibility
after update 10.1.6 for officeX . Disapointed to hear that Office 2004
probably has the same fault.
