Mac compatability

I have office 97 and have a prospective client that needs some documents typed up in word, however, he has a Mac 2004. Are these files going to automatically open up on his mac or is there something special I will need to do? I would appreciate any advice on this issue. This is going to be straight text, no graphics. Thanks in advance.

They will be fine, no problem, especially for straight text. No worries.

Word 97 through Word 2004, Mac and Windows, use exactly the same file
format.
