Mac hangs when sending E-Mail

I am having a problem with one of the Mac’s on my network. We are currently running a windows 2k server and an exchange 2000 server. Their are currently 3 Mac’s on the network running OS 9.2.2 and using outlook:2001 to access their E-Mail accounts on the exchange 2000 server. One of the Mac’s hangs for almost 4 minuets every time it sends an E-Mail. The Mac has photo shop 6, quark express 5, adobe acrobat 5, suitcase 9, and other photo modification tools; it has an ATI video card if that makes a difference

I have tried
a different cabl
a different port on the switc
making an host file and configuring the MacTCP to use i
uninstalling and reinstalling Outlook:200
removing and adding the user account from the Active director

Hi Larry!

This is just a wild guess, but does your Mac have a Hosts file active or an
incorrect DNS server in its TCP/IP Control Panel?

Your issue sounds like a name resolution problem and the delay may be the
result of your Mac timing out and switching to another DNS server for
information.

Hope this helps! bill
