According to Nadyne, at http://blogs.msdn.com/nadyne/ , "It's a security
update for some PowerPoint vulnerabilities."

It updates the Microsoft Office shared library in the Office subfolder (and
the Component Plugin which merely records the version number), that's all.

Just for kicks - is it normal that despite installing 11.2.6, my
entourage version is still showing as 11.2.5 (060620) ?

Is anyone else seeing this? (This is an entourage that before the last
update was quite solid, and now bombs out spontanously two or three
times a day)..

oops, i must be crazy ..

i must have installed 11.2.5 only :)

still its funny - powerpoint claims that it is 11.2.4, entourage and
word are 11.2.5 - is that normal for mac office product versioning?

thx

Yes, the apps themselves don¹t always get number changes it¹s other
components in the suite.

I was wondering about that also as I was getting a lot of crashes. I
then started looking very carefully at when Entourage made connections.
I have several email accounts and I also have several Schedules set to
collect mail at different times. I noticed that when one of my schedules
was due to connect at the same time as 'Send and Receive All' I would
get a crash. I then opened the Send and Receive schedule and deleted the
entry for the conflicting schedule(s).

That seemed to have worked.

Someone in another forum pointed me to the following:

Applications>Microsoft Office 2004>Office>Microsoft Office (app name)

If you 'get info' on that app, it is 11.2.6

Apparently this is the one (or one of a few) file that gets updated
through every single update.

That is true (but the file is just called "microsoft Office", no 'appname'
after it.. Another file that (almost) always gets updated is the 'microsoft
component plugin' in the same folder
