Mac Office 2004 and Windows office 2003

BlankWhen I decided I would get a Mac for work, so I can work with the other mac people, I noticed one thing. When I have a document open, instead of allowing a windows user to open it in read-only mode it gives them an error, but when a mac opens the same file that is open while I have it open allows them to view it in read-only mode.

Anybody happen to have a similar issue with this?

Hi Marcus,

If you use Mac Finder¹s Connect To Server feature that will happen. It is
possible, unfortunately, for two users to have the same document open at the
same time. Apple¹s SMB is not quite all it could be.

The cure is to install DAVE from Thursby from http://www.thursby.com/
