I recently purchased a MacBook with the Intel chip. My previous computer
(PowerBook) ran a power pc chip. I am running Microsoft Office 2004, and I
did before as well (almost positive). When I migrated over to my new
computer, all of my files transfered. However, when I view these documents
in my finder window, the document icon is changed from the conventional icon
(Word - blue, Excel - green, power point - orange) to a gray toned similar
icon. These files DO NOT display during a finder search. However, if I
re-save the PP docs or rename and re-save the Word docs, they DO redisplay in
the finder search with the appropriate respective colored document icon.
My question is if there is a patch or update that will convert and translate
all my latent Office documents to the Intel variety. Technically, I could go
and re-save everything, but being a graduating medical student... uh, that
seems quite daunting.
So if there are any Mac Office Gurus out there who could help me out,...
Wow! I would really appreciate it.
Thanks,
Zachary
