Hi - I am trying this forum as a last resort, as I have been unable to
find my way through the maze on the Microsoft site to where I can
actually send an email without having to pay someone 49 bucks.
Anyway, I work for Morgan Stanley. I signed up for the MS Home Use
Program. I paid my money, got my media (Mac Office 2008), tried to
install it but my MacPro does not recognize the DVD when I stick it
in the slot. Other media works fine, so it isn't a problem with the
Mac's SuperDrive.
Is there ANYWHERE I can actually download the software and install
Office Mac 2008 HUP using my LEGITIMATE, LICENSED product key? As an
experiment, I tried downloading the trial version and activating using
the product key that came with my media, but it didn't work. I see
tantalizing references in MS's support pages to a place where I can
download the installation files, but the actual download link cannot
be found anywhere.
Does anyone else know where this link might be? Note: I would love to
replace the media, but THAT information eludes me as well. Moreover,
I am now working out of the US, so even if I could ferret out the
right contact info, Microsoft wouldn't ship to my current address
snyway, so I'm basically screwed if there's no place for me to
download.
Any help appreciated, ----Brian (two steps away from
OpenOffice.org . . . )
