A friend of mine got a new MacBook.. I was given his PowerBook G4. We
used the original CDs on the PowerBook to return it to original state.
When it got to the point of asking do you want to transfer from another
computer I said yes, following the instructions, got my iBook G4
connected via firewire. Transfer was SOOOOOOO slick. My friend didn't
realize it worked like that and he set up his MacBook the hard way.

Now my problem. When I use Word, it finds spelling errors... but it
grays out the ADD to dictionary option. I have probably typed 10-12
letters and it is the same for all. What's the deal?

Be sure the Custom Dictionary is at the top of the list of dictionaries.
Entourage can only access the top dictionary in the list.
Go to MS Word/Preferences/Spelling & Grammar/Custom Dictionary, and browse
again to your Custom Dictionary. You're best leaving language as (none).
Restart your computer.
Now, try Entourage again.

Check display font. CE fonts (Monaco CE, Geneva CE, Helvetica CE, Courier
CE) can cause the problem. Change to a different font.

Thanks y'all. I opened up Spelling and DIctionary. Clicking on the
button "DICTIONARY" there was only the custom, it was not checked. I
checked it and it works. Bennigan's doesn't flag as an error anymore.
Thanks for the quick response.
