I'm new to Macs and to Powerpoint. I made my 1st PPT presentation on my
new powerbook, but it wouldn't play at my university which use PCs. It was
all photos that I dragged from the internet. When trying to play it on the PC
it said something about Quicktime and TIFF and compression. Quicktime
was dowloaded on the PC, but the pictures still didn't show up. It does work
fine on the MAC though. What do I have to do for next time so I can show it
on a PC and get the pictures to work. Will it then work in both formats?
Also, can I fix the one I already made and test it on a PC? Please help!
Thank you...

You'll have to follow a few guidelines to make your Mac PowerPoint
presentations comaptible with Windows. Here's some advice excerpted from:

http://www.indezine.com/products/powerpoint/personality/vitaliykuznetsov.html

A few general compatibility rules are:

Use bitmaps such as JPG and PNG for images.
Use common fonts that traditionally ship with Office. Do not use fancy Mac
or Windows - specific fonts.
Use MPG or AVI for movies. Do not use Windows Media or QuickTime format (the
same applies to sound clips).
Leave some space in your placeholders -- due to font rendering differences,
text may wrap differently on Mac and Windows.

all photos that I dragged from the internet.

It's best to avoid dragging images into PPT from any source; instead, save the
image as a picture from your browser or other application, then use Insert,
Picture, From File to bring the saved image into PowerPoint.
Also, can I fix the one I already made and test it on a PC?

You may need to re-insert all of the images after saving them w/o QT compression
on the Mac. Can somebody (who's got more up-to-date Mac graphics software than I
do) please offer some suggestions on how to do this?
