MAC to PC

My son created a Powerpoint presentation on Office for Mac 2004. When
he took it to school on a jump drive the presentation would not open
on the teacher's PC. What can we do to make this work?

Hi Chris -

If they tried to open the presentation _directly_ from the jump drive, that
itself could be the explanation. Never attempt to save to or open from
removable media - always copy/move the file to the HD, then copy/move the
file back as necessary.

If that isn't the issue it would be helpful to have more detail to go from:

How did they attempt to open the file - double-clicking the file icon or
from PPt's File>Open command?

What versions of Windows OS, PPt (Mac & PC)?

What *did* happen when they tried to open the file? - Error message?, if so
what did it state?

Chris

This could be something as simple as the 'file extension' being missing.

Make sure the filename is something along the lines of this....

yourfilename.PPT

the 'dot pee pee tee' on the end is the important bit - that should make it
both -show up- and -open-

cheers
